A failure of our intellectuals.

http://mises.org/daily/3864

What do you think that Plato or Socrates would have though of this? I would never attend a class conducted by someone who had decided that ideas were his, and his alone.

Do I think that it's right to be able to copyright a plan, or an object? Absolutely. But an idea? An undefinable, ethereal image of a dream! How can one learn and grow if all ideas are owned?

Just another step in the ever-advancing corporatism of the modern world.

God Bless Us All

God Bless us all...

...and Anna Nicole, and poor MJ... not to mention the joy of consumption, the false idols plastered on our walls, our billboards, and our minds. The slow eradication of everything The Regime doesn't want us to know... the indoctrination of children every year by religion, schools, and their idealistic, blinded parents. Destroy the world, one dollar bill, one percentage, one point on a computer screen at a time. The plastic isn't just in our pockets and in our houses, it's bred into our children and molded into our minds. Work, buy, consume die, and never question anything. Don't worry; you're safe though. The terrorists are being taken care of, and they'll stay away as long as you don't ask where your civil liberties went.

God Bless us all.

As you can tell, I've been feeling pretty frustrated, and decided to pop this piece of writing from a few years ago from my 'Iconoclast' folder, and stick it on the blog. It was originally posted on a message board in response to some mindless dribble about "God Blessing Us All, for we, and many others, have sinned, but America is strong, and we shall...." or something similar to that. Feel free to rant and rage, it's what I'm here for.
